At Tutor Time, we have an open door policy. We welcome current and prospective parents to our center at any time.
With the PresciouStatus app, you will be able to get photo and status updates on the activities your child is engaged in — as well as key reminders, events, alerts and more — sent straight to your email or the PreciouStatus mobile app. Throughout the day, every day!
Each room has a layout of the building that shows where you are and how to get out in case of an emergency. We practice a fire drill monthly as well as drills for other types of emergencies throughout the year with the staff and children. You will be notified of the drill on your child’s daily information sheet.
Our sick policy is written with the best interest of all children – sick and healthy. Vomiting, diarrhea, a nose with yellow and green mucus, eyes with redness and/or yellow or green mucus and a fever are all signs that your child may perhaps be sick and possibly contagious. We cannot stress the importance of keeping your child home when ill. Your adherence to our illness policies might help keep your child from multiple illnesses and other classmates and our staff healthy.
Our center is licensed to dispense medication. The administration of medications requires a completed MAT form signed by the parent and the physician. Additionally, Tutor Time requires the parent’s consent for all creams and ointments you provide for your child.
If a child becomes ill at the center, we will make him or her as comfortable as we can until the parent, guardian or emergency contact person is contacted and is able to pick up the child. We request that your child be picked up in a timely matter.
Yes. We require all children to have an updated physical prior to their start date. All children’s immunizations must follow an immunization schedule put forth by the NYS Department of Health. If a parent chooses not to have his or her child immunized, they must have the immunization release form signed and dated by the child’s physician. A monthly notice will be sent home if your child is in need of an updated physical and/or immunizations.
