Our School

Teaching children about the natural world should be seen as one of the most important events in their lives.

To Our Wonderful Families:

The September weather was a treat for sure! The children were able to enjoy the warm days on the playground. However, the air will begin to get much cooler and the leaves will soon be changing and falling to the ground. This is a great time to look at the extra items you have in your child’s cubby. Going forward, they will need cool weather spare clothes and an extra sweater.

Curriculum News for October

Themes: Autumn, Pumpkins

Handwriting Without Tears: (for our Preschool and Pre-K classes): Intro to numbers, crayon grip, letter recognition.

Grow Fit: Yoga: Grass snake, water cobra, shark, and dolphin poses

Along with our wonderful curriculum, children will have fun exploring sensory items every week, and self-help skills on a daily basis. Encouraging independence and fostering their curiosity is enforced each exciting day your child is in school.

The Scholastic Book Fair this year will be virtual. It will be accessible for two weeks, beginning Monday, October 19. Shipping is free for purchases over $25, and all orders will be shipped directly to your home.

Our Monster Mash Party is on Friday, October 30 at 2:30 pm. This is for the children only due to COVID restrictions. Children can come dressed in their costumes to school. A change of clothes is a good idea. Children can parade around the halls with their own classroom and trick or treat at the front desk for goodies.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty toward our programs throughout the month. We feel lucky to be with your children each day as they continue to bring joy to our hearts. We are making memories playing, dancing, and learning at Tutor Time of Melville.
